I'm a musician and graduate student at the University of Florida where I teach and study Cuban music. I'm a percussionist, singer and director of Rumbakuá, a musical group dedicated to rumba and other Afro-Cuban folkloric genres as well as Puerto Rican bomba. I currently direct Fundamento Rumbero, the first Afro-Cuban ensemble at the University of Florida. My love is rumba: singing it, playing it, dancing, teaching, learning, composing, creating... rumba
