Hello my name is Chris and I am a dj/producer from the East Coast. I started off getting into music when I was really young. My first instrument I had was a Alto Sax, and I played in my schools band for 5 yrs. I then started learning guitar and drums. Although guitar wasn't a very strong point because I hated the arthritis I would get lmao. Drums were alot more fun and even though I never did anything much with it, it would prove to be helpfull later on. My first year of High School was the begining of a new love for me which was vinyl records. I didn't have any money of coarse so I took whatever people would give me. I have been collecting vinyl since probably way before all that but never considered it as such untill I knew what to do with it. Some of my first records were The Beatles albums, Led Zepplin, all the classic rock stuff basically. Then was the hip-hop collection. Now this is when I got into my addiction for music. I have collected and been around hip-hop ever since I was young and I'll just say I have quite a collection of tunes here. My first hip-hop record was probably Mobb Deep and Cormega's Angel Dust. I bought this while out shopping with a friend aka The Dj Hazardous. And I bought it @ 12inch Dance Records on Pst NW DC, which is now The Dj Hut. I collected so much on tape before hand and now I wanted all of that on vinyl. So I commenced on getting all I said all of them lol. Time went by and I learned a bit here and there, and Hazardous had shown me alott I needed to know. By now I joined forces with Hazardous, Crazy Eddie, Marcy, and The Shadow Reaver. We formed a group called CPR but to our suprisment someone else used that name in the 70's. So we really never did much with our music other than have fun with it. Because thats what it was all about for us. We did have Cappadonna from WU-Tang in the studio with his b-in law Papi and Kcrypt from around the way. Made a few freestyle trax and collaboratted a few different 1's. We did all our own production in our group and really set to have fun with it. As time moved on our member Crazy Eddie passed away and we would eventually slow down our music. The Shadow Reaver and I were allways friends and he started to show me the club sound. Now I had been around the club music for sometime with Dancehall and B-more's house scene. So he began showing me different styles of EDM and from there I found 2 of my passion's. DnB was number 1 at the time and next became Hard House. The first time I heard Madam Zu live was insane. Honey Dew 3 and Carl Cox was tearing it up as well that night. This became what I am now currently spining. Hard House and Hard Dance in general to me has alott of energy and makes people sweat like crazy. Raves, yes they were the best. I know there are still some out there but it doesn't seem like DC has them anymore. I love all music but no other genre has that much energy except for DnB possibly. I have done a few DnB trax and Hard Dance trax but they are not were I want them to be at this point in time. I will finish though I vow lol. But yea ok so I've summed my life up in what I love and what I am hoping to be. Even though I have dj'ed in the US I am not in consideration of trully being a dj untill I can work myself abroad. I will keep pushing my shit like a fuckin drug lord and untill I have achieved a night in London or Japan or Australlia I will still be sellin my sounds to any1 I can get hooked. Keep safe and fuck em all! Peace, Glyphix
