Well, I decided I needed change, so i eliminated all that was before and am putting up the new. so here goes:
Currently, I am an EMT-Enhanced with Monelison Volunteer Rescue Squad in Madison Heights, VA. Come May, I WILL be an Intermediate and also a Firefighter. From Work Work, Volunteering, and Clinicals, You can find me in the ER pretty much every day. Speaking of Work Work, I am an EKG technician at Lynchburg General Hospital (#4 Cardiology Hospital in the US - woot!). I'm a bench coach for my brother's basketball team (that means I coach him from the stands and he gets aggravated at me. but hey, I played for 15 years. it gets the best of me.) I'm a night owl but can also kick it at 7am. Sometimes it's the ONLY time for some of my friends.
I'm at the peak point of my life. Everyone says "Oh, college, the best years of my life!" Well, i did 2 of those years, and until recently thought that too...but now I know how much better my life is than when I was at R-MC. I still love my friends and my APO family...but I was missing something, God, Personal happiness, who knows. but whatever it was, I have found it again. I'm back at home, yes I'm still in school. First Year Paramedic Student and soon to be firefighter :o) I love what I do and I pray everyday that I don't get tired of doing it. I used to be a basketball player and would love to play again. I'm a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none. I will always have a competitive streak in me. I can be slightly irritating...but thats why some people love me. Ask Naomi. She can put up w/ me fore about a week. We gotta have a break from each other for about 3 hours, then we're good and don't make each other twitch.
I love sports, but I'm not obsessed with them. Don't ask me stats, don't ask me players. Ask me to watch the game, analyze the present game, or play the game. But if we're at B-Dubs and the ADD kicks in and I miss a play...don't get mad. it'll be alright. Now that we're on the subject of sports. I LOVE Basketball (but not the NBA), i love love lurrrrrrve baseball, as in the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox. I WILL go to both Turner Field and Fenway. I also wanna go to a European Soccer Game. Preferably Italy. but thats a long ways off. And i need to find someone w/ my passion to go w/ me...cuz its dangerous. My 15-year old little drug addicted tutee attracted me to Lacrosse and I reallllly wish we had that in school.
I also like going out in public, though I probably shouldn't sometimes. Yes, I do like to drink occasionally, but getting plastered to the point of no rememberancde is not on my to do list. It hasn't happened since November 2005. And i'm proud to say I have had the opportunity and have refrained.
I have a new passion = quilting. Since being an art minor (possible major) I've branched out on my artistic capabilities. Drawing/sketching is fun but starting from crap and ending in a beautiful piece, is really rewarding. I'm almost through with my first quilt and it's a gift. Pictures to come) I also love riding, though I haven't done so in approximately 3-4 years. so if you ride, and are willing to let me have the ropes, we are friends for LIFE. I used to take care of 2 Appaloosas: Sunny and Colbalt. I miss it.
My family is my life. It includes a mother, a father, 2 brothers, a sister, a Clifton, a Naomi, a Matt and a Joni. Unorthodox? definitely. worth it? absolutely. If you can't handle the fact that family comes first, you're not worth my time.
