Cut Da Check was formed years ago but offically name on the "Can A Sista Rock The Mic Tour" in 2006. We are a fusion of all sounds. There is not one distinct sound that the band can be defined by. Cut Da Check is not only musicians but also producers at the same time.
We are currently working on our Spring project "Play Your Heart Out." This will be our debut album of instrumentals. Our main goal is to reach people through different styles of music with out the words. A song with words is powerful but it means something else when you can get the same feeling without the words.
All the musicians in Cut Da Check are blessed by God. None of the members have had formal training but when we play you couldn't tell the difference. We have had the privilege of sharing the stage with artist such as J.S.O.U.L., Van Hunt, Ya Momma 'Nem, Groove Stu, and Lysette Titi.
