King Kong

About Me

Born in the UK and of Jamaican decent, King Kong was raised on the rough streets of Miami, Florida. As a youngster, sneaking his older brothers’ records, artist like Eric B and Rakim, NWA and the 2 Live Crew, led King Kong, or Fat Boy, as he is known on the streets, to became an instant fan of hip hop. Free styling amongst his peers, made him popular, but his ambition to make money earned him respect. Turning to the streets to support himself, King Kong made a name for himself as a hustler. Leading a life of crime and drug dealing, King Kong found himself in and out of jail. After being incarcerated in Tallahassee’s Leon County Jail, he decided to channel his energy back into music. In 2004, King Kong hooked up with Merch Millions, CEO of SledgeHammer Production, and released his first CD, Gorrila Pimp. With its hard beats and charismatic lyrics, King Kong quickly became a local celebrity. He has performed at some of Florida’s hottest clubs- Club 112 in Tampa, Club Stingers and the Rolexxx of Miami, to name a few. He has also opened up for artist like Trina, Trick Daddy and Lil’ Wayne Since the release of his first underground CD, he has been featured on eleven different mix tapes, and has produced a video for the hot track ‘Whip It’ featuring Cutta Man. The video can be seen on Miami’s Video Mix. He is currently working on his second CD which is set to drop in early 2007.King Kong ft. Cuttaman - Whip it
