JAYNEY KLIMEK was born in Melbourne; Australia, and moved to Berlin in 1984.
Having studied acting and classical singing in Australia, Jayney; together with her two brothers, was a founding member of the group THE OTHER ONES, who had two international, chart-topping albums (the singles HOLIDAY and WE ARE WHAT WE ARE made the top ten world-wide). Jayney moved on to become solo singer for Tony banks (GENESIS) and worked as a session singer for TANGERINE DREAM (the new CD Inferno, original text by Dante), PAUL VAN DYK, PALE 3, TERRANOVA (all songs on the new album Digital Tenderness), ALPHAVILLE, SIMON BONNEY and ANITA LANE, among many other name artists.
Guitarist BLACKY SCHWARZ RUSZCZYNSKI was born in Berlin and studied classical guitar. After working as a music tutor, he worked with the GRIPS THEATRE band and recorded material for UKW (Sommersprossen, Ich Will, Hey Matrose) and two albums with The Other Ones. As session guitarist, he worked for many well known acts such as Alphaville, Klaus Schulze, Petshop Boys and Boy George, as well as producers such as Trevor Horn, Steve Lipson and Jack White. As a producer himself, he has worked on projects by Marian Gold (Alphaville), Fares (3P) and Toowaboo (Gun Records).
JAYNEY and BLACKY, from two different continents, came together in Berlin, and since then have been developing their art and working all over the world. In 2003 they founded the duo You Pretty Thing and since then have been composing and producing in Blackys Biebest Studio.
