Peloton is a quartet from Helsinki, Finland. Band plays unique jazz and other great music. The music is something you could call a cartoon jazz, sometimes it is definitely slick jazz noir. Peloton use lot of musical atmospheres from different parts of the world and why not from outer space also.......................................The quartet makes collaboration with the professionals of modern dance, RIO Real Time Orchestra, and have together performed an antimilitary freejazzopera, or freejazzballet 3 times in the Helsinki City Art Museum in spring 2005 during the exhibition of Maria Duncker..................................Peloton started together with RIO Real Time Orchestra a monthly club called - Kohtauspaikka, The Helsinki Meeting Point. This club, originally from The Bimhuis Club, Amsterdam, which is a meeting point for improvising musicians and dancers has turned out to be a success in Holland and now here in The North.........................................Peloton makes also performances with KINOS String Quartet. The music has been said to remind "a mixture of Kurt Weill and Shostakovitch". They performed together around Italy in the spring 2006.
