So, my actual interests: breastfeeding support, (I'm not actually breastfeeding anymore, but I almost wish I was, because of THIS - the coolest blinkie in the world!!!!!!)also: reading, little people (especially my one!), languages (esp. French), travelling, camping (although the hayfever gets in the way...), and being happy!!! I am particularly enthusiastic about spreading the catchphrases of my lovely mother such as "I see said the blind man waving his wooden leg in the air...", "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick..." and "you clever old cloggit"...

What kind of a freaky mother are you? You're an earth mother! Your friends sometimes call you Gaea, because you're the original earth goddess! You and your kids both have dirt under your fingernails, and you spend as much of your time as possible out of doors. Your kids have an incredible appreciation for nature.

I'd like to meet:
gosh, errr... (not feeling very eloquent today!!)again, to return to this - errr... Would have liked to meet Johnny Cash, and throughout my life have thought that both Slash and Chuck Berry would have made very good husbands for me. Rather fancied Brian Molko in my youth (in fact I still do if I'm honest), liked Billy Corgan's teeth, and idolised Lister and Cat so much that I wanted to be the female version of Lister from the parallel universe... Billy Bragg has been my hero for a while, but rather worryingly (perhaps??) I can still recite the lyrics to Get In The Ring, as well as many songs associated with Red Dwarf... (eg.1 - He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer, More reliable than a garden strimmer...), (eg.2 ...and I get a funny feeling... in my kidneys and my liver...) (eg.3 - not really a song but, 'Morning Farmer Lister, I'm just popping down to the shops in my submarine, can I get you anything???') - so that's me!!!See below for the splendiferoony Jeffrey Lewis GUTTED that we missed him in Hull, and only by a few days, hope you all like the vid (and yes Siobhan, you are right!!) - pinched it from someone else's profile as one is encouraged to do on myspace, thankyou whoever you are!!!

Think this thing may lie about my location (??!), anyhoodle, back to the music...Used to be rather partial to a bit of Adam Ant, but have had it knocked out of me a little, and have just this week remembered why I used to like Nine Inch Nails, however, really, really like: Billy Bragg, The Smiths, The Cure, Chuck Berry, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Peatbog Faeries, Jeffrey Lewis, Cat Stevens, Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Louise Attaque (the clip is unusual, they usually sing in French!!), Luka, Billie Holiday, Green Day, Duff McKagan, Therapy?, Offspring, Captain Beefheart, Antifolk, Joanna Newsom, Placebo, Smashing Pumpkins, Jack Johnson, Jose Gonsalez, Loudon Wainwright III, Rufus Wainwright, Leonard Cohen, Ian Brown (cannae believe it - was adamant he was rubbish when I was a wean...), David Bowie, David Gray, Mdness, Outkast, JJ Cale, Gnarls Barkley, Paul Weller, Curtis Mayfield, Afro Celt Sound System, Arlo Guthrie, Willy Mason, all live and festival music and stuff done by the lovely peeps in my life... Oh and back-in-the-day Franny and I did compose an utterly splendid popmo workout to Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson and thanks to my new move into the world of Exercise 2 Music, and my discovery of Punk Rock Aerobics means that it may yet see the light of day!!!!www.lovemusichateracism.com

Movies:
Currently liking Walk the Line, Blade, (Wesley Snipes...) Desperately Seeking Susan (I'm Saaaaaarrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
!) and also (this is for you L if you ever blimming get on here!!) (it's mine, Mrs Glass gave it to me...), Chocolat (but better when I saw it dubbed into French - don't like all these silly fake accents!!), Pirates Of The Caribean, Un longue dimanche de fiancailles, Amelie - recently watched The Texas Chainsaw massacre - managed to only hide in the kitchen for part of it, but generally not great with that sort of thing... Bestest cartoony film of all time is The Emporer's New Groove... Also liking Moulin Rouge and Monsoon Wedding, and rather worryingly thought that Kevin and Perry Go Large was absolutely hilarious... (Just a little factoid BTW - my friend joanne was there when they filmed that - so there you go...) update - third X-men was pretty good x

Television:
Had to add this to my profile because Red Dwarf IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!! (And I didn't cheat at all to get this result, honest!!!!!)
Which Red Dwarf character are you?
You are Dave Lister. You are the last surviving human. You have personal habits that make people sick, and your skill at playing the guitar has driven people mad. You hate Rimmer, and just want to get back to Earth to have your little fiji and a donut stand.

Green Wing (got the first series on DVD for chrimbo - YEY!!!), The Book Group, peep Show (came to it late in life but I love it...), No Angels (ish), The Smoking Room, Father Ted, Eddie Izzard (CLIP BELOW HAS SWEARING IN IT - BE WARNED!!!), first series of Scrubs, documentaries and programmes about subjects I am interested in (such as good old breastfeeding...) :-) Errr... Quite like Grand Designs, and am rather partial to good old Robert Winston and Child of our Time, and ever so occasionally I like to watch Supernanny so that I can criticise both her and the parents and pick out the good bits!!!! Some of it is pretty darn sensible, and other bits I'm not keen on, such as the 'naughty' step - actually I don't like the world 'naughty' at all, but that's another rant altogether... :-) I'm very fond of a good old detective story/murder mystery, and I particularly like Poirot, Frost and Waking The Dead... (Finally, although I am almost too ashamed to include it, do have a wee bitty of a thing about watching the X Factor - eek...)..
