Shannon Alvares

Blending the soulful sounds of R n’B and lyrics based on life experiences, Shannon Alvares is blazing onto the international music scene.Shannon began her musical journey at the tender age of 4 when she started playing the piano and training at the New Conservatory of Music in Toronto. During her tenure there, she was given first place honors at the Annual Music Festivals for her vocal and piano performances.In 2003, Shannon recorded her first song, ‘Dear Jon’, a tribute to her cousin who passed away that same year. This major event inspired her to pursue her dream of a career in the music industry. With the memory of Jon ever prevalent, she moves closer to that dream.In January, Shannon performed several songs that are on her debut EP. Since then she has been working hard on her upcoming single – to be released this summer – produced by August.Shannon has a love for music…..period. Her influences range from Kanye West and Jay Z to Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, Shirley Murdoch and Norah Jones. Drawing from these musical giants and lessons in life and love, Shannon is poised to set the music industry on fire with her brand of genuine soul.
