Hello and welcome,My name is Alain. I'm a musician. Half Belgian (French-speaking) and half Finnish. Born and raised in Brussels. Started learning the piano when I was 4. Young musician of the year in 1987 (Belgium). Took up guitar, vocals and bass guitar in the early 90's. Moved to London in 1997. Degree in classical piano (Trinity College of Music, London). Set up a record label in 2000 (Buttercuts Records Ltd). Released numerous records (both as a musician and as a label) and performed all over the UK and Europe (France, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia). Nearly 20 releases: Dr Octagon, BC400, fbcfabric&reindeer, Illa Man, The Pistachios, Joe Driscoll, YoyoCuts...THE PISTACHIOS: funk/reggae/a bit of everything... lots of horns... which is good... great live band, particularly for festivals... too many members to list here... let's say there's enough of us to constitute a football team... with the subs...YOYOCUTS: multi-lingual hiphop collaboration between Buttercuts and Radyoyo (Slovenia)... includes a tune ("Desperanto") where we all wrote verses for each other and ended up emceeing in languages we don't speak...
