Band Members: Mulit-ethnic, diverse group means lots of interesting influences & even more interesting and awesome people! Here's the scoop: Rev. Paul Chandler is my sidekick and co-singer in the band. Zahava Krevsky, a Hassidic female, plays keys. Big Ben & Bernice "Boom-Boom," both African-Americans, play drums. Yudi ( cool Lubav) and TJ, African-American, are the group's hip-hop, freestyling dancers. And yes, they're way better than the two actors in the "Crown Heights" movie! We also feature Tzvi, Hassidic doctor, on the horns, and Sruli Laz on lead guitar. Hey - we'll rock your house anytime!***********************************

Our racial harmony group Rockin' d joint at Skidmore College
Cool breezes for this outdoor party on the Ft. lauderdale beach. But the highlight was when we played Born To Be Wild as the King David Bikers drove inside the Sukkah!
Project CURE at Unity Day Picnic at Kean College
Book signing at B&N in Aventura, Fl - for Sharing Turf, the one Showtime used to write the story and screenplay for the "Crown Heights" movie.
With Rev. Paul Chandler, co-singer in the music group & co-director of Project CURE, at a movie screening of "Crown Heights" & book signing. He keeps me inspired and always laughing! Some hands-on music therapy at the Quest Center for students with profound special needs. They LUV music!!
Using PIC symbols with Tony to increase participation/communication skills.
The hat? Part of my shtick to bring out some smiles!
Charley rockin'away in "cloud 9" on the drums! Hands-on music gives them the opportunity to become active participants rather than their usual roles of passive observers.
Our "Sing & Sign" choir getting ready for their performances at the Broward Center For The Performing Arts in Ft.Lauderdale this past May 2006. They did three amazing shows for more than 5,000 people and truly inspired & entertained the crowd. This unique choir, made up of students with autism and Downs-Syndrome (& other profound special needs) use American Sign Language to "sing" to live music! It's an opportunity for them to shine... to give to others.
Influences: Ohhhh, lots & lots, as we play all different styles from blues to rock to rap to reggae to doo-wop to country to Hassidic to even some Bluegrass! So, wow - where oh where to begin? Ok... the Beatles, of course. Marley for sure. Zepellin no doubt. Hendrix. Dylan. Miles Davis. James Taylor. Dire Straits. (more than one person has told us we sound a bit like 'em - I say, amen to that!) Shlomo Carlebach. Skynard. Stevie Ray. Rap groups? I still like old school here, but any of the socially conscious lyric artists do the good service, mates. "It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder, how I keep for going under." And, "ya gotta check yourself before ya wreck yourself." I like Michael Jackson, despite his personal problems. Richie Havens. CSNY! Beach Boys. Temptations. The Great Santana. All of MoTown. All the 60's groups were/are awesome. Anyhow, it's an eclectic sound... lots of contributing factors & groups here. Hey, ya can take the boy outta the 60's, but ya can't take the 60's outta the boy! Rock on y'all.
Sounds Like: All of the above, I hope! We bring ya the message of increase the peace... foster some positive race relations & vibes!
Record Label: our own, maties, unless ya wanna sign us up!
