About Me

Welcome to The Souls of Aredyrah, where you will find updated information about my award-winning fantasy series for young adults. For those of you not familiar with the series, The Souls of Aredyrah is the first of a multi-generational series set on the island world of Aredyrah (air-uh-deer-uh}. There are two books in The Souls of Aredyrah that are currently in print: Book One, (The Fire and the Light,) and Book Two, (The Search for the Unnamed One.) They have won numerous independent book awards for YA literature, and are on the Florida Department of Education's Just Read Families Recommended Summer Reading Lists. Book Three, (The Taking of the Dawn,) is currently being written, as are sections of subsequent books. Of note, Aredyrah is looking for a new publishing home! So if you enjoyed Books One and Two, and are looking forward to more, please tell your friends. Word of mouth will help get this series into the hearts of more readers and, hopefully, the Taking of the Dawn into your hands much sooner! Aredyrah Hillside

This is a had-to-be-there-to-appreciate-it kind of place, but it inspired a romantic scene which I have in mind for Book Three, The Taking of the Dawn. The scene will involve Reiv (finally--poor boy)...

Shells and the People Who Love Them
