THE SOUND OF SEA ANIMALS
The Montreal-based band The Sound Of Sea Animals is the project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Etienne Chan Kane. While spending time working with garage bands such as Comme Un Homme Libre, Sunny Duval, Le Kid & Les Marinelli's, Buddy McNeil & The Magic Mirrors and Les Breastfeeders, he recorded an impressive amount of songs and demo tapes. With the help of Alexandre Brassard (drums), Emilie Bernard (backvocals, piano & keys), Suzie McLelove & Karine Isabel (backvocals) and Pascal Shefteshy & Joe Gagne (sound engineers), he produced his first album as The Sound Of Sea Animals in September 2008. Mastered by Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering in Portland, "Fractions Of Fictions" features Chan Kane's sound; a mix between the precious 60's and today's most influencial acts. On stage, Nicolas Bednarz (bass), Pascal Turcotte (lead guitar), Pascal Shefteshy (guitar & mellotron) and Yann Godbout (sound effects & colors) join the lineup...
