Biography
Growing up Stefan was always surrounded by Music. However it was only after hearing his father play Jean-Michel Jarre’s infamous Oxygene album that he fell in love with Electronic Music. Through the musical influence of his parents, Stefan began to listen to a wide range of musical styles but was always drawn back to the Electronic Sound through artists such as ELO, Mike Oldfield and Howard Jones but to name a few. It was therefore only a matter of time before Stefan started Keyboard lessons, programming his own drums and making his own tracks.
Not content with just making music, Stefan wanted to DJ. In 2004 Decks were purchased and every penny possible was spent on collecting vinyl. Soulful House, Deep House, US Garage and Detroit Techno were all Genres that could be found in his collection.
Mid 2006 marked the start of Stefan’s DJing career playing at small parties on the South coast of England. However it was when Stefan was DJing with a friend at one of these parties that they were spotted by a German Promoter and through their performance were asked to DJ at a club in the North German town of Bremen. A town that Stefan continues to visit to DJ.
In 2007, Stefan saw the opportunity to start a record label for him and his friends to release their own material on, this saw the birth of “Kinetic Grooveâ€. Now in 2009, Kinetic Groove specialises in House, Tech House, Minimal and Techno and is designed to be a platform for up and coming Electronic artists to release their material on. The label has also thrown a number of parties recently in London and also Bremen Germany, all to showcase the labels artists.
With the summer season ahead, Stefan is focusing on his DJing and Production work. The past few months Stefan has DJ’d at a number of venues and parties around London and has also delivered his first remix project to quirky Record Label "Rainbow Value RECORD LABEL" which is due for release in the 3rd quarter of this year.
