NEENA & VEENA, “The Bellytwins†have been featured as special guest dancers, choreographers, and actresses on hundreds of national and international stages, films, TV shows, commercials and music videos. The twins are also the founders, artistic directors, choreographers and teachers of their own dance company which specializes in dances of India and the Middle East.
Based in Hollywood, CA, they have performed live stage shows for royalty, dignitaries
and world renowned artists and celebrities including former Prime Ministers of India and Lebanon, Eddie Murphy, Sting, Antonio Bandaras, Melanie Griffith, Nicole Kidman, Ozzy Osbourne, U2, Hugh Hefner, and at Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s wedding reception.
Some television credits include Academy Awards, Live with Regis and Kelly, ER, The View, American Music Awards, CBS The Early Show and Dick Clark’s The Other Half. NEENA & VEENA have also been the center of Hollywood's TV gossip and news shows such as Entertainment Tonight, Extra, E!, and several segments on both CNN and VH-1. The twins have also made their mark on worldwide television networks including BBC (UK), CTV (Canada), Univision (Latin), Zee TV (India), Sony (India), RTN (Russia) and international publications including India Today, Hello, Australia’s Harper Bazaar, and Femina. A partial list of film credits includes Scorpion King and From Dusk ‘Til Dawn. They have made special appearances in dozens of music videos for many artists including Mandy Moore, Outkast, Ricky Martin, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, Dr. Dre, and Aerosmith. Numerous magazine and newspaper articles have been written about the twins in prestigious publications including InStyle, YM, Time, Muscle & Fitness, New York Daily News, and Fit.
NEENA & VEENA have been spotlighted in the national best-seller, The Book of Twins, as well as the children’s book Twice As Nice. Currently, they have a multi-book deal with a reputable publishing company. Their first book, The Way Of The Belly was released in Spring 2006 and has received a starred review from Publishers Weekly.
Neena & Veena have not only conceptualized, but created, choreographed,
co-produced, and starred in twelve instructional and fitness videos, some of which had long runs on the Billboard Top Ten charts. Fitness magazine named one of their videos, Slim Down, as one of the “Top Ten Videos of the Year.†The first to mainstream bellydance in the U.S., the Bellytwins have sold millions of videos and DVDs worldwide. Their most recent releases Bellydance Core Conditioning and Indi-Hop, which incorporates Bhangra and hip-hop in an intense workout, are available at www.bellytwins.com along with all Bellytwins videos.
