About Me

Here goes, I have always loved music and grew up on it. My brother was a big "rap" fan so I pretty much stole his shit and listened to it. I’m talking real old school, Nice N Smooth, NWA, Naughty By Nature, Boogie Down Productions and of course the KINGS OF ROCK RUN DMC (RIP Jam Master Jay). I had friends that like to go to teen nights at Yakety Yak in Ocean and I went. I saw first hand what I was going to be doing for my life. DJ Unique was the DJ along with MC Showboat. They were like god’s to me. Soon after that I bought my first turntables at about 13. No doubt they were shitty, (Belt Drive Gemeni’s), but I learned how to mix and scratch with them CAREFULLY MIND YOU.
I used to listen to hot 97 (Flex, Jazzy Jeff, Stretch Armstrong, Chuck Chill Out, Grandmaster Flash, Red Alert and other DJ’s 24/7 and loved all the DJ’s and always had an ear open for scratching and beat mixing. I would actually record the mixes they did and buy the records and practice til I could do it.
My first job was working for Cisco’s Disco, doing parties and the Ramada Inn i Hazlet. Undwer the influence of his DJ’s (Robbie O, Riki, Steve, Dave (RIP), and John.) (Big SHout to Robbie O on this one). I was like a sponge and absorbed everything and from there I just kept practicing and learning more everyday.
After that I began working with DJ Cory Minto and we did parties as well even though our music styles were completely different. It was a good time and a great way to make money. BIG SHOUT TO CORY!!! Soon after that, Cory got me a job at Stingrays (Birch Hill Complex) and I was able to showcase my talent in the side hip hop room. It only held about 100 people but it was the greatest feeling in the world to me. I even got into a LIVE DJ battle with going around the back and tricks!!! Stingrays only lasted a few years though. So we began to bounce around from Jack’s in Long Branch, Ashes in Red Bank, among other places.
2 years ago, I ran into Robbie O again through a friend, and we became tight once again. I’ve been working him over 2 years now and thanks to the mixture of "who you know" and "what you can do" I am currently at Jenkinson’s in Point Pleasant and Joe Pop’s in LBI. Life got much better with those places.
I don’t give a shit if I don’t sound professional, but when DJ Robbie O let me play for 15 minutes the first time on a Friday night at Jenks over the summer of 2007, my hands were f*cking shaking and I was nervous for the first tme ever. The RUSH was unimmaginable. That many people dancing to my music. After my time was up I was still shaky, but it felt amazing! I was at the top of my career where my music was being no less heard, but enjoyed by over 4000 people. LIFE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!!! And it’s 95% of the same feeling everytime.
A few months ago, I began my own DJ company which I am currently doing private parties and it’s going great.
On top of that, the 2008 Reader’s Poll from Night and Day Magazine has just named me as the 4th Best DJ in Monmouth County. I will be the first to admit that it’s not a true statistic and it won’t go to my head, but in all honesty, it feels great.
Last but not least, I want to thank every person I have ever come in contact with that has affected my life, good or bad. You have all been a part of my life and have some how brought me to a point in my life where I am the happiest I have ever been and just about at the climax of my career. So THANK YOU ALL.
PS.....Im not done either!
