I was born and raised here in West Frankfort, and have lived here all of my life, except for the year that I lived in the big metropolis of DuQuoin. (home of Alongi's & the DuQuoin State Fair...yay!!) I've been married for 13 years to John, who I met while eating lunch one day back in 1992. I occasionally work at home as a Medical Transcriptionist when my health allows it. I have Juvenile Diabetes that was diagnosed in November 1978, and have dealt with the problems that arise from that on an almost-daily basis for 29 years now. The key, however, is to stay positive and to laugh thru the tough times. It honestly helps me to make fun of myself!!! I am also the biggest clutz anyone will ever meet! No one has EVER called me "light on my feet"! I am unable to have children, but Lord knows I've have enough of them around me over the years. They bring a lot of joy to my life, but it's nice to send them home! LOL (just kidding, Allison!) One of my favorite things in life have been my dogs, Sir Charles & Kodiak. Sir was a Border Collie-St. Bernard mix, and Kodiak is an American Eskimo. They have given me plenty of love & attention over the years. Unfortunately, we had to put Sir to sleep in August 2006 due to canine lymphoma. He was almost 12 years old, and it darn near broke my heart. I miss him on a daily basis, as does Kody. I have sang ONSTAGE AT THE GRAND OLE' OPRY in Nashville, TN & have won several vocal contests in the past. (I must, however, brag about the Opry thing!!!) Haven't sang too much in the past 10 years, however, due to a car accident in 1997 that left me with lung and windpipe injuries. I am starting to sing a little more often, thanks to prayer, physical therapy, and breathing treatments. Yay! I have many, many friends & a lot of family. I love to hang out with them! I also love traveling, especially to Las Vegas & Canada. And oh yea...I'm a HUGE flirt! Anything else you want to know? Just ask!!!
