About Me
Tony Conte is a young filmmaker who works in several different artforms, including painting and web design. Over the past few years, Tony has been known in his hometown of Escalon, California for his talent as a portrait artist and film editor. He is also recognized by his community for being the first person in his family to pursue a college degree.
In 2005 during his senior year at Escalon High School, Tony was Student Representative of his class, and received the Academic Award of Excellence in Art. He also received a scholarship from the Valley Arts Foundation, as well as being one of only two students to receive a Good Citizen Award for his hard work and efforts made on behalf of the community.
To pursue his love of film and desire to work in the industry, Tony is now completing a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Motion Picture at Cogswell Polytechnical College, where he has continuously been on either the Dean's List or President's List. Not only has Tony been producing his own short films, he has also been actively collaborating with other students and eagerly assisting in editing other people's works. It is Tony's desire to take the skills he's learned at Cogswell and begin working towards his goal of being a Digital Film Editor.
Tony is currently in post-production on his final thesis project, "The Revenant", the story of a grieving man being forced to accept a severe loss. Trapped in his dreamscape, the protagonist is forced to wake up to a harsh reality.
