About Me

SIMON FAIRCHILD started playing on the Essex punk scene in the mid 1990’s, firstly on guitar before eventually moving on to electric bass. His musical education began at Access to Music (Norwich), other higher education courses followed and subsequently a degree at ARU (Cambridge). His first major underground success was through the band Moonjuice (a fusion of Funk, Rap and Metal) with an EP release, distribution and publishing deal. He then went on to play with Norwich favorites Logicbrake who made recordings in the rolling groove core style, and is currently playing in the highly fusion, Cambridge 3-piece, Thirteen. Thirteen will complete an album by the end of ‘08/early '09, a continuous project throughout the years studying at ARU. More shows to come in 2009. Now more recently towards the end of '08 Simon joined Pocket Lips but now in '09 is absent... Pocket Lips continues... A 7 piece, live Hip-Hop/groove based band with electronic and scratch sounds. Or simply defined as Chinese Pop!! Shows up and coming around London and various places across the UK. Although Simon was involved in the following with Pocket Lips: check-out the Muzu Liveroom.tv video below and remixes of 'Keep it Low' by GoldieRocks and Beat Crusaders on the music player. Simon’s bass playing technique is often straightforward but highly rhythmical and groove based, employing a fast slap or finger picking style. Simon, a prolific performer, has played gigs across England. The tracks featured on this page are on going project to be re-assembled and completed in the near future..........!! Thank you. P.S. All who have been part of the tracks on here, links to websites and more info is detailed in the members section. Those who have one that is.... Thanks!!
