"A band who will be serious contenders to lead the indie scene in the next few years. They need to keep up the enthusiasm and it will happen for them."
...The Tube Club"teen (average age 16) purveyors of catchy pop with a Chili Peppers edge, Licotine"

Well were Licotine and we have been together since around february 2006. Me (Lyle Moxsom) and Jack Benfield first met around 2 years ago and have been best friends ever since. Both being guitar players we had a lot to talk about and Jack introduced me to a wide range of musical influences he had inherited from his parents and 3 brothers.
We would regularly meet up and jam in Jack's room. During these few years we learned many songs and played them together. We would play at our school, Queens Park, at the concerts and international evenings.
We met Liam Hutton through my good friend Nat. He told me Liam had been playing drums for eight years and was looking for a band to play in. We played with him for the first time in my bedroom in January 2006 and instantly accepted him into our band.
We had 2 or 3 rehearsals after that point in various studios around London until we finally decided we could go no further without a bass player. Cassie Bernard had been playing in the school rock band with us and we recognised her talent. It was our manager Rami Ali who popped the question after one of our weekly recording sessions at the schools studio. Cassie was game so she came along to our next rehearsal. We were all happy with our find and the band took another step into finding our true style.
We have written a number of songs, some which you can listen to on this profile: Oi, Memoirs of a Kamakaze, Girl, and When I'm a star, which is the first song I wrote.
We also have many unrecorded songs including: Something I like, Same Questions Different Lie, Discarded truth and like the Rain, which you can have the pleasure of hearing if you come see us live. We hope to record some new tracks soon.
If I had to put a finger on our particular style I would say a blend of happy indie anthems with a darker, sinister edge mixed with some edible Chili Pepper-esque funk. We are all extremely optimistic about this whole experience and hope to play at many London venues in the near future.
We hope to see you soon at one of our shows.
Lots of love Licotine
