Brian's strong British Folk Rock influence mixes well with Cathryn's Roots, blurring boundaries and showcasing her voice, his guitar and their intricately crafted songs in a unique and dynamic way.
Guitarist Willoughbyand respected singer-songwriter Craig, composed three songs for his well-received solo recording BLACK & WHITE, including the title track and Alice's Song, later released by Strawbs in support of the National Autistic Society's Year of Autism Awareness.
Cathryn was the featured vocalist, but Brian's longtime friend Mary Hopkin was also a co-writer on BLACK & WHITE, singing their sensual Love Belongs Right Here.
Cathryn's highly acclaimed PORCH SONGS and CATHRYN CRAIG, were released earlier on Goldrush Records.
The duo's I WILL, features seven further Craig / Willoughby compositions.
Strawbs' LIVE AT CHISWICK HOUSE, BAROQUE & ROLL and BLUE ANGEL, Cathryn's brilliant Appalachian tale PIGG RIVER SYMPHONY and several Nanci Griffith recordings feature the duo's contributions.
Brian's guitar instrumental FINGERS CROSSED, featuring nineteen of his original compositions is available on John Tobler's Road Goes on Forever label.
Craig & Willoughby's Rumours of Rain, a plea for peace, was recorded with a 'who's who' of artists including Ralph McTell, Nanci Griffith, Tom Paxton, Martin Carthy and members of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Pentangle, Lindisfarne and Strawbs under the banner of Folk for Peace.
