Because one of my favorite music is cumbia.I am from Romita Guanajuato mex. I first got to listen to music when I was 5 years old, i would listen to all types of music.i got interested in all of them, but the one that would get my attencion the most was CUMBIA. I did some research I found out that cumbia came to Mexico in the 60's, but it wasn't popular until later in the 60's. At that time the most pupular groups were La Sonora Matancera, Sonora Santanera,Sonora Dinamita..Most of them from Colombia and differents part of Central America and Mexico. Now out of all of those Tropical groups from that era.. Only one still around .... LA SONORA DINAMITA. His leader is no longer with us LUCHO ARGAIN. He died years ago. After that the gruoup broke up in many small groups. It has never had the same impact... My dream is to reunite the SONORA DINAMITA and make it in to one, And I know tha if this happens.
