PORTLAND. TRAILBLAZER. BASKETBALL. TV on DVD as well.
I'll be amazed if anybody I didn't know were to contact me...on purpose. Just because I'm friends with a band or person does not mean I like you music. In fact, I instantly hate it (and you) because of what you've done friend requesting me.
Or this guy:
They Might Be Giants, Victor Wooten, DMB, Mike Doughty (Soul Coughing), The Long Winters, Ben Folds (Five), Nickel Creek, Jon Brion, Chris Thile, The Police, Cherry Poppin' Daddies (the old stuff), Quasi, the Decemberists, Fly Upright Kite, Jonathan Richman (and most recently the Modern Lovers stuff), Sleater-Kinney, Ani DiFranco, The Black Keys, David Byrne, Bruce Hornsby, love me some Blink 182 (in the breakup, I take the side of +44 any day of the week), The Roots, Jill Scott (let's be honest, every song she's ever written qualifies as 'baby makin' music'), Kanye West (who doesn't like this guy?), Neutral Milk Hotel, Blonde Redhead, Minotaur Shock, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Barenaked Ladies circa Gordon, Semisonic (what clutch late 90's rock), Mat Kearney, David Crowder*Band, Charlie Hall, United Live, some Chris Tomlin
Miles Davis (Sketches of Spain...underrated), John Coltrane, Pepper Adams, Art Blakey, there's some others, I enjoy those guys though...
Stuff I do, or am involved in in some way: The Cameras, Camera Acoustica, The Camrock All-Stars (both of the last two being just me), Old Man Funky & the Monks, Animal Beard, The S-L's, Asad Rahman, Mike Brandow, also, there's more here...
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harold and Maude, Contact, Boiler Room, Anchorman, Garden State, Half Baked, Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns), Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, can I say Eternal Sunshine again?
Also: Seinfeld, Simpsons, The Critic, Chappelle's Show, The Daily Show, Conan, Lost, Dead Like Me, Boy Meets World, American Idol
Am I total nerd to say I like Star Trek: The Next Generation? I get the same feeling watching it now that I did as a kid growing up, which is, "This is AWESOME!" So I guess the answer to my question is, yes, yes I am a nerd and I don't care. You jerks. Purchasing Seasons 6 & 7 of this show have just reinforced how AWESOME it is.
Here's the question: Why, when I'm too busy to read the books I already have, do I buy more books?
Well, my main man JC has to come first, he's a good one.
I like John Flansburgh, I aspire to be the same kind of performer he is, which is one that is quite good. I guess the cherry red 335 was the first step on a path to becoming him.
Jack Bauer, also.
