imagine...pop tunes mixed with trip-hop, drum 'n bass and a little jazz. add some intricate and catchy melodies, synthesized soundscapes and piano layed down over a double bass groove, an authentic drum-kit and the sound of electronic rhythms. imagine all this played live without laptops and you get a pretty good idea of MIA THOUGHT AND SOMETHING HAPPENED... mtash was formed in 1999 as an initiative of austrian singer maria neckam. the band was originally conceived as a pop band for playing mia's tunes. over the years the rest of the band has put more and more of themselves into the music and the sound evolved. MTASH has played mostly on the crossroads of germany, belgium and the netherlands and has been touring several times in austria. to date the band members are spread over 3 countries and 2 continents, but the music goes on ... their first album is in it's final stage
