Married to my very understanding soul mate, wife and best friend - Val - with two all but adult children
I'm always calm; I'm never reactive; I ALWAYS think before I act; I've never been in trouble with the law; I have the language skills of a Saint; I read regularly, especially the greater works of our time and live a quiet, sedate life befitting my ever advancing years. . . . . . . Oh, and I lie a lot . . . but only in second paragraphs ;-)
The North / South divide is nothing new – and “YES†of course it exists. It has done for several decades. I’m passionate about lots of things, but especially Rugby League; the game; it’s history; socioeconomic background but most of all, over a hundred years of injustice :-)
For those that do not know much about Gods Greatest game it’s probably best explained by the following quote from Chris Irvine : Times Online “ Rugby league that is, the superior ball-handling code. A pursuit that is the very antithesis of "kick and clap", one that thrives on skills, not spills; tries, not a procession of penalty goals. Sorry Johnny †:-).
If you want to know about why there are two codes; why those in the south forced the hand of those in the north (who'd continually beaten them at "their precious game"); know more about class war & victimisation; the bigotry of the media and those that control it, read about what sits behind “Broken Time†and the following 100+ years: Research the changes brought about to the RU byelaws as a result of monies paid to them through “Sport for All†and then, and only then attempt to tell me that I’m wrong. You won’t be able to. I'm not
Told you I was passionate about it :-)
