About Me

I started playing guitar when I was 17. My mom use to play when she was younger. She had an old guitar that no one ever picked up. Then one day she was on the back porch strumming some songs she use to play. I sat down with her, she showed me a few chords, and before we knew it the whole day had gone. Shortly after learning a few songs I met my real good friend Coty. We would get our guitars and jam out in the garage. Before too long we worked out a Pink Floyd cover, "Wish You Were Here", to play at our 11th grade talent show. We must have practiced that song for a month. But it paid off, the song was a hit. I hear it influenced a few other people in our school to pick up a guitar. There were some other guys playing at the talent show as well, Confusion. I remember they played "Enter Sandman". They had all of the elements for an awesome band, but solid vocals. They asked if I wanted to jam and of course, I was down for anything. They came over on a Saturday and that turned into a weekly ritual. We worked on covers first, then the originals started to flow. We entered the talent show the next year with an original song, "Petroleum" and totally blew everyone away. We had our first public show at Vino's and then a private show that we sold tickets for at the VFW in NLR. While planning for a show at the Pavilion in Mayflower, things went down hill and Confusion was no more. Still wanting to play, I looked into doing a solo act. This is when I got into country. I went by a place I would always pass on my way to class, "The Parrot Head Cafe" to ask if I could play. Well, turns out I knew the lady that owned the place, and she set me up with a gig every Thursday at 8. My first show was Oct. 2 2003. I played for about 45min. People would request a song and I would go home, learn it, and have it ready the next week. In about 8 months I had developed a 4 hour show. I began to look at other venues in NLR. Gator's Bardge -n- Grill was the next place I played, then Lucky's, Damn Good Pies, Uptown Tavern, Cajun’s, Grumpy’s and many others I can't remember. In the summer of 2008 I started doing some shows in Ft. Smith. I’ve played at Hero’s, Garrison Pub, The Little House, and The Rib Shack. I have been playing solo for 5 years. It doesn't seem real, but I've loved every minute of it!Get your free Myspace Layout to Pimp myspacefound this plain layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com

Sounds Like: My origional stuff leans more country, but if you ever see a show you'ld know that I dont discriminate on any kind of music that sounds good on an acoustic. I like to push the idea of acoustic music by doing hard rock ballads and even hip-hop songs.
