Sounds Like: The Tartan Scares, takes it back to 77 for me with a great track “Screw Up” awesome old skool sounding punk.
The Tartan Scars provide some old sounding shit with the excellent 'Screw Up'. The song has good melody, a rusted overlay and a very blatant retro feel. In fact the pre 77 pub-esque vibe makes this a most enjoyable jaunt and the TS brigade are one to check further.
the Scars have nurtured theyre circa '77 sound", 'Local Favourites
By the time The Tartan Scars were on, I was well pissed. From what I can recall, they were outstanding and went down really well with the packed to the rafters West Coast crowd, with their snotty Briefs style original material and a lively performance by their frontman (when have you ever seen a singer crowdsurfing in the West Coast? Honestly? On a Wednesday?).
I had one hell of a time during the pre-party. Mainly cause of this band. Great energy and cool music. Singer even grabbed me and made me sing. Was too pissed though :P
Come to The Netherlands some time!
