born in las vegas, lived in reno for years since. picked up guitar in the summer of '92, and it was on since. With a wide range in influences, he has a naturally LIVE feel with guitar playing. Playing on feeling, and using emotion to speak through the instrument. I was born and raised in the east bay- bought my first set when i was 12 and it was on....from '93-'03 i played in several dozen bands, some bad ass(disillusion, scrimlet, d.m.i., baby buttoneyes, bastard sons...) and some forgettable(misery machine, plunger, the muddsuckers...) as well as a few cover bands(behind the wall of sleep-black sabbath, and a misfits cover band)... from North Bay Cali, living as a fish outta water in Reno, Nevada, a town so close to Hell you can see Sparks, (it's o.k. you don't have to get that). Matt teaches guitar at a small small store in an area of town constantly patrolled by bums and drunks, and loves every second of it!
