About Me

I'm intelligent and funny, but frequently goofy. I'm friendly and compassionate, but I sometimes let friends drift away. I sometimes get too focused on the details, and let the big picture slip.I'm originally from outside DC, and have moved to Atlanta. I've done lots of different jobs, from office work, to grant writing for a children's hospital to dealing blackjack for casino parties. Right now, though, I think I've found what I will be doing long-term, as I'm working as a paraprofessional in an Elementary school for a resource class, and summers working with at risk children in an enrichment program. I want to go back to school to get certified to teach, and to get my Master's in Special Education.Since I moved to Atlanta I've tried lots of different performance-related things: stand-up, improv, acting, teching, and writing. Of them I intend to mainly do writing from now on, except for paying gigs like murder mysteries. I've had readings and productions for my one acts and for the children's musical that I co-wrote, and have helped with editing and refining other writers' pieces.Lately I've been tring to learn to dance- Ballroom, Swing and Tango. It's a form of exercise that I actually enjoy, so that I'll hopefully stick with it. We'll see what it's like to try and go out nights when you have work at 7:15 each morning.
