Sometimes you have to let go, no matter how bad it hurts or how much you cry. Sometimes the things that you are leaving behind were just things that were never meant to last; they were only meant to be stepping stones to the future you are meant to find. I've learned that it is better to make a friend for a lifetime than to have a fleeting relationship that you will look back on with hate and pain. And it's not necessarily about giving up, it is just realizing that there are things that are out of your control and that will never be the way you want them to. And just because you aren't in love, doesn't mean that you aren't loved. I've learned that good-byes will always hurt, pictures can never replace being there, memories forget the hard times, and you can never relive your life no matter how much you want to. .....So even though it may hurt now, later I will look back on the good times and thank God everyday that I had you in my life and that I was the lucky one to have known you and that I am who I am because I had the people I did in my life.
