Australian born musician Rixon Thomas.
Primarily a professional Oboist/English horn player.
Tenure positions held as 2nd Oboe in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and as Solo English Horn in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and now Solo English Horn in the Copenhagen Philharmonic.
Film music recordings include - Lord of the Rings, Shine, The Beach, 15 Amore, plus numerous TV/commercial sessions.
Rixon also works outside the classical field with the likes of Luke McAvenna (Rhythm Nation), Nick Littlemore (Pnau) as well as writing and recording his own projects such as Short film scores etc.
Awards include Young Achiever of the Year 2000 in NSW and Young Performers Finalist 2000 and 2001.Please message in regards to work and/or collaboration.
