Ricochet first got involved with Dance music when he started going out to raves back in the late 1980s. He used to go partying at the weekend and hear all this new innovative dance music from the like of Carl Cox, Grooverider, Trevor Fung etc, then go out and buy the vinyl. In the beginning he learnt how to beat match from with 2 belt driven decks with no pitch control connected to a 2-channel mixer and it was only a matter of time before he graduated to a brand new set of Technics SL1200s. After spending nearly 6 month perfecting how to mix how in the bedroom and playing out at free warehouse parties Ricochet became a firm favourite among free partygoers and it wasnt long before he was sharing the stage with some of the alist DJs he had been raving to.In 1992 Ricochet turned his hand to production and formed A dance act called Bassquake who had their first release on R&F Recordings track titled Headstrong/The yamo. Following the success of his debut single Ricochet landed himself a residency at RAW promotion & World Party playing at all their major events and hosting his own radio show on Don FM.Production to date includes Marcella Woods and a Goldie remix. During his career as a DJ his musical style changed from House to Rave, Drum & Bass before settling on the music he currently plays today House Music from all genre which can only be described as (Uplifting, Funky, Electro, Dirty, Underground Progressive Rollin beats).Ricochet has been DJing for over 10 years. In this time he has steadily built up his musical knowledge and technical experience, which has gained him extreme credibility and a Sponsorship interest with Technics promoting there DJ products.
His guest slots has scene him appear at the following venues Bagleys, The Egg, Velvet Rooms, New Conaughts room, Ministry of Sound, Leisure Lounge, Hanover Grand, Legends, EC1, The Scala Hidden, Club 3, Emporium, Yellow Bar, Havanas, Pantiles, Scotch bar, Club Wicked, The Fringe, The Blagg, Club Rouge, Hammersmith palais, Rouge, Isha, Busbys, The Gas Club, Astoria, Linford film studios, Haven Stables, Roller Express, Tasco Warehouse, Wonderland arena, The Rocket. He currently holds residencies at Isha club in Kingston & Peppermint parties and has most recently been taken on by Pink Promotions, Legalise promotions and a bi monthly residency with The House of Love.Radio has been another area he has enjoyed working regularly with his House of dirty funk show on Mint FM. Ricochet has also presented guest shows on Point Blank 108 FM, BBA Radio and Love FM.
Ricochet is constantly strengthening and expanding. He possesses the ability to work the crowd with magical dirty, funky underground sets; this is one diverse DJ not to be missed.
