i have everything i ever wanted.
i met my husband in college. being the old school girl i was i didnt own any cds in 1999. actually i was just a cheap ass and my 88 buick park ave had a tape player. so the only music i owned was tape. one day i was complaining to my friend kevin that i couldnt listen to any of my music in my dorm because i didnt have a tape player. my parents bought me my first computer that year as a graduation present which meant i had a cd player in my room. we were talking about taking a trip to newbury comics so i could get some of the clash on cd. he told me that his friend matt had got something called a cd burner for christmas and he had all the clash on cd and could copy them for me. we walked up to the sixth floor from my second floor dormroom. we knocked on the door and a tall chubby kid with glasses wearing just a band t-shirt and floraly boxers answered the door. he didnt really want to make me the clash cds for me at first becuase blank cds were so expensive and he didnt know me at all. but by the end of the week he was making me mixtapes. including an extra special clash live mix.
