This is the beginning of the end.
Too many drinks, too many headaches, never enough sing alongs, even more drinks, bloody fingers, calloused palms, lost drum seats, broken pics, a few more drinks, lost voices, a shoddy recording or two, and one more drink to top it all off.
This is the life and times of the phenomena known as BONUS EVENTUS.
The feelings that were put into every second of the performance were aimed to inspire others to adopt the same energy and raw emotion. In fact, the feelings came to transcend the musical aspect of the phenomena. Bonus Eventus is more than just a punk rock party band;
It's an idea. It's a frame of mind. It's a philosophy. It's something to live your fucking life by.
And one day, two best friends decided to embody this idea via audio, and pushed the lifestyle to the fullest extent. Recruiting two other trusted and dedicated members, the quad traveled locally and abroad, spreading the philosophy now known as Bonus Eventus: that of party, the idea of making a great time out of everything and anything that comes your way. Of being Bonus Eventus. Acting in the most extreme form of this thought, taking it to the limit and hurdling past it, only cemented the idea in the minds of everyone who experienced it.
Unfortunately, this lifestyle has left the band as we know it on lifesupport due to health complications. The end could come at any time, as unexpected and unpredictable as the band itself acted. The gods of Bonus Eventus couldn't be prouder.
Even with the future of the band in the chokehold of mortal peril, the spirit will always be alive in all of us involved, and hopefully all of you who were lucky enough to witness it firsthand. This was a phenomena. This was a revolution. This was a way of life.
This IS the beginning of the end...
Or is it? Maybe it's just time for another drink.
