Jayson Youngblood is a 28 year old Philadelphia based songwriter. If you were to ask him what music intrigues him most, he would quickly tell you, "SOUL MUSIC... ANYTHING WITH SOUL"
While at a young age, Jayson would spend a lot of time in front of his grandmother's record player listening to the timeless classics of Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Patti LaBelle, and Marvin Gaye amongst others. In time, he studied those artists, and discovered the world of songwriting and vocal arrangements.
Shortly after starting Junior High School, Jayson decided to pursue his love for music and took advantage of the programs the school offered, and utilized them as a way to better understand and discover the different styles and genres of music.
After High School, Jayson spent a few years in various studios recording demos and working with different producers to learn the process of recording, and the arrangement of songs.
In 2005, Jayson was accepted and became an 'Associate Member of the Grammy Academy.' Jayson's plans for the future are to continue learning the craft of songwriting/arranging vocals in order to establish himself in the music industry. In due time, Jayson also hopes to begin producing tracks and working with the "up-and-coming" artists of the time to allow them the opportunity to express their thoughts and visions through music.
