Trell Mack also known as Trelly Mack or Mack Mafioso, is an underground rap artist/song writer/producer/CEO of Hard Labor ENT. born and raised in the city of Milwaukee, WI to parents Patricia Hackett and Steve Maclin. Growing up listening to whatever his mom was listening to at the time, Michael Jackson, Prince, New Edition, M.C. Hammer and many different styles of Hip Hop music, Trell wrote his first rap at the young age of 12. He record his first song "Still Ain’t Ready" at the age of 15 along with the help and production of cousin Ku Mays. The song was just the first start of Trell's music dream. He continued to record numerous songs for the fun of the hobby that would later become his second love of his life. When asked why does he refer to music as his second love he stated " because the sport of basketball is my first love". Trell played basketball for the school team ever since the fourth grade, he also ran track for a couple years and placed first in the long jump once upon a time in his short Track & Field career. Despite pursuing his basketball career and being part of numerous championship teams at the age of 16 he formed a rap group called Killah Squad, along with cousins Eighties and Don Jaun. The group would record songs from time to time but had no clue of what it meant to be a group in the music world. Trell would make tapes of the groups music and take it to school for friends to listen to, so he could get feedback on what the group needed to work on. Coming up as a teen in the streets of Milwaukee and not having a Father around and being the oldest of his siblings, Trell grew up fast and always had to led by example. Even though some of his examples and actions he took in his teen years could of got him in lots of trouble, he managed to escape a lot of obstacles and came out good most of the times. But 2 years later he would quit the varsity basketball team his Senior year of high school and continue recording on with his music. Slowly becoming influenced by Milwaukee's own up and coming music scene in the late 90‘s, music started to become more of a job, then a hobby for Trelly Mack. He started traveling to different cities and meeting up with different people and was starting to get little bit more understanding of how the music thing works. In 2001 he recorded as a feature with Milwaukee R&B star Cincere on a song called "Simone Says". The two performed the song at Milwaukee's Riverside Apollo but did not get a good feedback from the audience, they were booed off stage. Not disturbed by the performance Trell continued on to pursue solo and would lean towards Milwaukee producer Dean Witta in attempt to put a album together. The album that was supposed to be his first underground release but due to a computer crash and a lost of more then 30 songs that were not saved on back up the album never happened. The blow struck a serious nerve and that had almost been the end of what was supposed to be a lifetime dream. Once Trelly got over the tragic, he then turned to cousin Bartese Tucker(former manager) who introduced him to a guy named J-Roll(Milwaukee producer), who were both part of Eye 2 Eye Records(One of Milwaukee's biggest Independent Labels and home of underground Milwaukee hip-hop legend Baby Drew), in attempt to possibly find a home to help develop him as a artist and get his career in flight. J-Roll played a big part in helping Trell develop a sound and giving Trell advice on what it took to become a successful independent artist, but his dream of getting signed to that label never happened. The next couple years would prove to Trell that the music business is not a easy cakewalk, so while continuing to record and now turning to the production side, Trell continued to pursue music but would take the step of forming his own recording label Hard Labor ENT. in 2006. While still recording with his group Killah Squad and co-writing and featuring with numerous underground artist, Trell got the opportunity to open up along with Pham Marvelous(Milwaukee Record Label) for major act Ja Rule. He then started doing numerous shows locally and working on yet another project. After completing the project along with producer Dean Witta, another pause would come about yet again. So Trell put his career of being a solo artist to the side and spent the next few years focusing on producing, and investing his time and money into his label and the artist on the label. After the label released three projects "Killlah Squad Presents: Welcome to Squad County", (Young Fresh) "It Is What It Is" and "Fresh: ology.. the study of being fresh, things finally started to pick up for Trell. After grinding it out for the past 10 years and recording well over hundreds of songs performing, writing, doing features, producing, managing and trying to build a successful Independent Label. Trell has gotten back into his solo artist mode and is now set to release his first offical project under Hard Labor Ent. titled "Deal or No Deal". He has produced and wrote the whole entire album, and has already released two different versions of "Deal or No Deal" the Mix tape and has a third version on the way. The project is catching a lot of street buzz in the Milwaukee and regional area. Trelly Macks rap style is described as very dimensional and versatile. His ability to paint pictures with words and ride any beat with his smooth, gangsta poetic , reality flow is what has captured his so far listeners by storm. Trell is also part of another project with Milwaukee producer Dean Witta and New Jersey Hard Spitter, rapper Santana Black titled "The Deanz List" which is also set to be releasing soon. Trell has over come a lot of obstacles to get to the point he is now, which is still underground but how he likes to put it "Self Made". He quotes " I still got a lot of road to cover because its people in the streets who know or heard about me over the years far as being an Independent solo artist/writer because of things I've done in the past, but its still a lot of people who don’t know I exist, or don't even know my full talents and capabilities, because of the fact I was doing the group thing with Killah Squad, pushing artist Young Fresh and trying to build the label up for the last couple years. So the goal with the "Deal or No Deal" project is for me to re establish myself not only as a up and coming Independent solo artist/producer and writer, but establish Hard Labor ENT. as well as a up and coming Independent Label. The path I'm taking is trying to become successful by staying Independent and doing the type of music I want to do for the streets. I know hard work pays off and I've been working hard for years now".
Please enjoy the music on the page!!!
