Brazilian born Rapha Mello (aka DJ Phara) has been absorving music since 12 years old when started play drum..s and percussion, learning several instruments till the moment he was confronted with a pair of decks & mixer. Started his professional carreer as Dj in the year 2000.
In 2003 moved to Curitiba, south of Brazil, where he kept increasing skills and eventually conquered his space at the Brazillan electronic scene. Winning of the Disturbs award, as South Revelation dj, in 2004.
Dj Phara played in all major cities of Brazil mostly in big events such as : Islandance Festival(BR), South Orbit Festival (BR), Universo Paralello (BR), Terra do Nunca(BR), Existence Dance Festival (ES), Happy Festival (ES) BOOM Festival (PT), Privilege(Ibiza). And also played in other countries like Argentina, Uruguai, Portugal, Spain and England.
Sharing the Dj Boot with names like : Anthony Collins, Chris Liebing, D-Nox & Beckers, Extrawelt, Jamie Jones, Kasey Taylor, Kanio, Luke Chable, Marco Carola, MR C, Minilogue, Oliver Klein, Paul Richt, Ricardo Vilalobos, Son Kite, Sasha, Tania Vulcano, Tiesto and many others.
Phara music style is a mix of techno, tech house and minimal, a sound always defined by a strong groove presence followed by a fat bass line. Showing his ability to create different moods in the dancefloor effectively trough his mixes.
In 2006, with the opportunity of playing abroad, Phara played in Portugal for a pair of months, and after remained 1 year in Barcelona playing as a resident Dj at Mochima Club, and as special guests at Seda, Lolla, Razmatazz, The loft, Macarena, Club 15, private parties . Always reinventing himself, evolving his style along with a fusion of a international amalgam of sounds and beats from the Underground.
There was a Ibiza calling and this was the opening 2007 summer season where he kept a residency at Sun Sea where he achived great sucess being invited to perform in many other parties and clubs (Viva, Coastline, Twister, Bay, Boatparties and a few private parties ).In the end of the season he was invited to play in the Happy Festival in Valencia moving after to London,United Kindom.
He enjoyed great 9 months in UK, learning and reinventing himself by playing in several parties, festivals of the season, being special guest in some of the infamous squat parties from the underground London scene such as Hivven, Digital Hive, Nomade, Alienation, Invasion , but also playing in fine clubs as Cargo, 1001, The Scala, Oshoroom, Russian, Lock17 and others.
It’s the London calling so he gives the firsts steps in the production and programming of sequenced electronic music production. A whole new panorama flowing ever since.
Back to Ibiza for the summer 2008 season, starts with is usual residency at Sun Sea Bar with a ambient selection showcase, located in the beautifull sunset strip of Saint Anthony well known from the old acid house roots and a new residence for Zoo Project crew every saturday's.
Now a day's back to LOndon - UK. Whille he keeps the job done he travels looking forward to play in different Events, Clubs, and Festivals, or any other Open air partie or artistic event that share the same entusiasm about dance music cultural celebration. Places where he can expand his skills always very surprisingly accurate both by his mixes and theme selection all this wrapped with a special contagious feeling registered wherever he played.

Rapha Mello, (alias Dj Phara), Nacido en Rio de Janeiro - Brasil, ha estado dentro del ambiente musical desde los doce años quando enpezó a tocar bateria y percusion, tuve larga esperiencia con instrumentos hasta conocer la musica eletronica.. Empezó su carrera em 2000.
En el 2003 se traslado a Curitiba, al sur de Brasil, donde aumento mucho sus habilidades y gano un espacio en la escena elect como el premio Disturb como DJ revelación del sur en 2004.
Ha tocado en las ciudades más importantes de Brasil y en grandes eventos como el Universo Paralello (BR), Islandance (BR), South Orbit (BR), Tranceformation (BR), Terra do nunca (BR), Existence Dance Festival (ES), Happy festival (ES) y BOOM Festival (PT). También ha tocado en otros paÃses como Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal, España y Inglaterra.
Ha tocado junto con Anthony Collins, Chris Liebing, D-Nox & Beckers, Extrawelt, Jamie Jones, Kasey Taylor, Kanio, Luke Chable, Marco Carola, MR C, Minilogue, Oliver Klein, Paul Richt, Ricardo Vilalobos, Son Kite, Sasha, Tania Vulcano, Tiesto y muchos otros.
El toca una mescla de techno, tech house y minimal, siempre groove con bajos fuertes y mostrando habilidad para diferentes humores apropiados a las pistas. .
En 2006 con la oportunidad de pinchar fuera de Brasil, se fue en busca de nuevas esperiencias y un progreso en su carrera. Pinchando en Portugal por 2 meses y luego se fue a Barcelona, despues de case 1 año alli tuve un gran exito, com residencia semanal en el Club Mochima y con grandes participaciones en Seda, Lolla, Club 15, Macarena, The Loft, RazzMatazz y afters.
Luego despoes se fue a Ibiza –ES para la temporada 2007 , con residencia en Sun Sea pinchando en fiestas de Club Viva, Coastline, Zoo Project y Bay tuve la oportunidad de realmente mostrar su talento.
En seguida se fue a vivir en Londres-UK, en busca de nuevas experiencias y reconocimiento, pinchando en fiestas , Clubs, festivales y con gran participaciones en las famosas squat parties, el verdadero movimiento underground, alli tambien a enpezado su carrera como productor musical, y luego sus musicas van estar disponibles. Con gran apresentaciones en el Reino Unido en fiestas como a Hivven, Digital Hive, Nomade, Alienation, Invasion , Cargo, 1001, The Scala, Oshoroom, Russian y otros mas.
Vuelve para Ibiza a la temporada 2008 con gran éxito, con 2 residencias ya confirmadas y con toda la experiencia vuelve con todo. .Zoo Project con fiestas en el Zoo, Barcos, y tambien con participación en PRIVILEGE para este año. .Sun Sea Bar (Café del Mar cia),con increÃbles sesiones en la puesta de el Sol, esta alli todos los lunes y jueves de las 19:00 a las 00:00.
Ahora vive en Londres-UK sigue su trabajo y siempre aprimorando sus conocimientos, sigue buscando nuevos contactos y acaba de enpezar un nuevo projecto The Loop, day's partyes en Camden Town, todo ultimo domingo de el mes. Tambien con grans planos para este verano en Inglaterra y Europa sigue trabajando fuerte para la temporada 2009.
