Eh, I'm okay for now. Thanks anyway.
"I love the relationship that anyone has with music: because there’s something in us that is beyond the reach of words, something that eludes and defies our best attempts to spit it out. It’s the best part of us, probably, the richest and strangest part...." (Nick Hornby, Songbook). The Beatles, The Police, Ryan Adams, Alison Krauss, Wilco, Lyle, Dwight, Bright Eyes, Ben Folds, stuff like that. The Monkees. Not really. And please don't subject me to The Doors. My skin might peel off.
Anything with Christopher Guest in front of or behind the lens (and can I just say that Miss Parker Posey is a goddess?), Office Space, The Philadelphia Story, Goodfellas, Godfather Part II, Coal Miner's Daughter, Dazed and Confused,Anchorman, Moulin Rouge, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, Valley Girl, Braveheart, The Right Stuff, Lawrence of Arabia ("one cup."), The Hustler (ahhh, George C. Scott). Below: the most beautifully awful audition monologue ever: .. width="425" height="350">.. ..>

Currently reading "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" by David Sedaris. Just finished his latest one, "When You Are Engulfed in Flames". He is such a clever writer. My absolute favorite author is John Irving. I also really enjoy Chuck Pahlahniuk (Fight Club, Choke, etc.), Haruki Murakami, Neil Gaiman, Pat Conroy, Jonathan Franzen, Philippa Gregory, those Potter books and Phillip Pullman.
People who can make me laugh are pretty heroic to me. People who can make me feel or think too. You know how there are people in this world who can touch your soul? Whether it's an artist or a friend (or both), those people are my heroes.
