About Me

Hey there! I'm Beth! I am a mom to 2 great kids, Chelsea (15) and Scott (10). Chelsea is in 11th grade... heaven help me! She's an amazing kid... bright, creative and loves to show off her wild side (thus the black and purple hair!). Scott keeps me busy with sports and a busy social life (hehehe). He's been called "an old soul"... mature and thoughtful. I hear from people that they forget they're talking to a kid! HA!

I've been self-employed since 1989 and love it. It's not without it's down-side (I really miss company parties... it's not the same drinking alone! HA!) but overall I'm glad for the flexibility it has afforded me to be present in my kid's activities.
I enjoy hanging out by the pool when the weather allows and having a good time singing karaoke at the Port-Hole (a bar!) with my rowdy friends. I have a blessed life... I'm lucky to be surrounded daily by supportive (and somewhat crazy) friends and family! I wouldn't want it any other way! Want to be friends? Drop me a note!

Highlights from the Port Hole!!

I'd like to meet:

My crazy daughter [Chelsea, black and blond hair] and my neice Kaitlyn [blond hair] being dorks outside chilis. Love em!Meet Ev... He's the light of my life!

Music:

You'd most likely catch me listening to Country Music (Toby, Brad, Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, and of course TRACE!) but give me Classic Rock any day, any time. Favs include AC/DC, Boston, Aerosmith, KISS (they sang "Beth" after all!) and Van Halen. Elton John, Eddie Money, Electric Light Orchestra, Styx, Bob Seger and Eagles are also on my iPod! Pretty diverse huh?

Movies:

I love all romantic comedies... Under The Tuscan Sun (made me want to move to Italy and buy a Villa!), Pretty Woman (classic), You've Got Mail, As Good As It Gets, etc. I like action too though... all the Die Hards (love Bruce Willis), True Lies... and there are the Pirates of the Caribean.

Television:

Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, LOST, What About Brian, American Idol and all of the ABC Soaps. (I was a huge ALIAS fan. Before my husband Rich passed away, we never missed an episode and have all seasons on DVD!)

Books:

Not much time to read but I do buy Books on Tape (or CD) once in a while. I love Suze Ormon, Dr. Phil, Marianne Williamson (do you see a self-help theme here? LOL).

Heroes:

I don't go around classifying people much but if I had to choose a HERO it would be my Mom. Now I know most people may list a parent but MY Mom really is a Hero. She's been through countless medical procedures (Cancer, MS, Khrons, etc.) and never complains. She has the most positive outlook and has loved me through the good, bad and the ugly. She's always there to give a helping hand even when she doesn't have much to give. She puts everyone else ahead of herself. She's amazing and I love her to pieces.
