What started to be a side project of Metal Garde members, eventually led to be a more serious Improv techno noise garde band. Started out when Metal Garde was given a slot to play by Zsa Zsa Gabor in July of 2006, but Jason Conde refused to play because he had a Skelator show the following day, so instead Garde formed Musemakers relying primarily on Elliot Beutler's electromic programing.
The first show featured everyone from Metal Garde, except the vocalist, with Danny Beutler on drums, Deadly Ed on synths, Elliot on computers, Garde on effects and guitar. Almost immediately Danners quit after the show and Musemakers were left as a trio.
In January 2007, Ed was killed by a moving RV close to his home on freeway 5 and Musemakers became a duo. In June of that year, Musemakers played their last show at the Smog Shop and decided to go on hiatus.
No plans of reunion yet, however Garde wishes to finish the album of older material that Musemakers played.
