Guitarist and composer, Benjamin Collier is involved for years in many bands working on crossover style. Bnj mixes electro (breakbeat, dub, drum'n'bass...) and traditional tzigane and indian music in La Caravane Electro , based on original concept "Tziganotronic". He plays some groovy rock with Boom Boom Club . He use to work with cosmic funk/beat breakin' project called Da Taz , which released in 2007 the album "Have you got soul?" featuring Erik Truffaz . Here you can hear some tunes he composed for those bands.
His own project OVERLOW is an experimental blend of guitar and electronic beats in their most primal stage, mixing digital accuracy with electric heat to a higher state of harmony.
At the same time, Bnj composes music for french choreographer Cyril Viallon, and worked in Ouagadougou with Serge-Aimé Coulibaly on a hip hop/african dance project "A Benguer".
Bnj's been also learning indian sitar for few years at the Sangit Academy in Brussels.
During the 90s he played with fusion rock/funk/ska band Jungle Beanz, which released recordz produced by DNA from Urban Dance Squad . This band shifted in Dubians , a live dub crew which collaborates with Neil Perch ( Zion Train ).
