Since the age of 14, Sinister Chic has been providing high energy, hard hitting sets that included tricks and a wide variety of house genres. It was the four elements of hip hop that got Sinister Chic into djing, already being into breakdancing, MCing, and graff the last element was djing. She started learning how to mix using her brother's equipment, with him already knowing how to blend and learning how to scratch, he was eager to show Sinister Chic the tricks of the trade, but because she loves challenges she refused, if she learned how to spin, she wanted to be able to say she learned all by herself. Alot of her dj influences included Bad Boy Bill, Angel Alanis, Czr and Frankie Bones. At the age of 16, she already had residencies in Chicago's hottest clubs, which include Zentra, Orbit, Logan Square, The Royal, Centrum, Betty's Blue Star lounge, Dvine and Dragonfly, as well as being able to perform at her own prom. Now at the age of 24 she has mixed also at Green Dolphin, Deja Vu, Jet Vodka Lounge, Diskoteka and Four as well as local underground events and the list keeps growing. As well as having a list of residencies under her belt, she was able to have one of her biggest dreams come true, to be able to do a four turntable set with one of her biggest influences growing up..Czr. Her father and brother now own and run their own record label called Del Soul Recordings which released the hits "In your eyes" and "Baila con migo". Sinister Chic also is producing several trax for Chicago's local hip hop artists. As well as working on her own house tracks. So after 9 years from beginning with the struggles of learning how to spin while juggling school and a personal life, was it all worth it in the end?..Yes, because as long as there is a dancefloor, there will always be room for this dj on the decks.:::CONTACT ME: IM/EMAIL= [email protected]:::
