About Me

According to pop culture history books, Disco officially died the evening of July 12th 1979. A Chicago DJ held a promotional event at Comiskey Park, in which anyone who brought an unwanted disco record for him to blow up on the field before the game would only have to pay 98 cents for a ticket. 90,000 people showed up, but the park stopped the cheap ticket deal at 20,000. So the DJ explodes a gigantic stack of wax into flames, tens of thousands of people begin to dangerously fling their left over records like frisbees, thousands rush the field, the riot police overtake the scene and the White Sox are forced to forfeit the game to the Detroit Tigers. 300 miles away, in Rhinelander Wi. as this happens, my mom gives birth to me.
