Defiance were 4 Jungle/Drum n Bass Producers/Dj's from Perth, Australia, "Teckk, Dub-Z, Ben and the late Dj Kury who was taken tragically in March 2006...R.I.P Combatant, never forgotten & deeply missed."Earthquake" was released on 'Micky Finns' Urbanism label!, which came in no less than limited edition picture vinyl!!! and pays tribute to the late Dj Kury...and where he came from "jungle / DnB and Perth"The lads from Defiance would like to extend their thanks to Micky Finn; for the patience, faith and following through on Kurys' dream. Much respects; and Big Big Ups.Look out for solo projects from Teckk and Dub;Z this year.RIP KURY.
KURY (Kadri) R.I.P 19th March 1986 – 26th May 2006.....What could be said about this absolute champion of the Perth DnB scene? For all that knew him he was one of the greatest people to have around, Kury the little guy who was always having a laugh and in turn making us cringe by showing us how good he was behind those decks…such a talent and such a motivator! He will be missed and remembered. He’s no doubt watching us; giving us the motivation to continue doing what we do……… “Kury was one of the of the nicest, least cynical, most respectful, genuine, positive blokes I ended up knowing in Perth. I admire Kury... for his passion, enthusiasm and willingness to learn from his original inception, turning it all 'round and becoming a true player through the last couple of years. My condolences to his family and friends. It was obvious he was loved and always will be.
