Orange Mind was founded in summer 2004 by guitarist Lucas and bassman Martin. After playing in some crazy formations, drummer Alan and guitarist Kevin completed the band in summer 2005. We started covering some more or less famous songs just for fun. Simon came into the band and as a lead singer and we started writing some own stuff, created from ideas and texts Kevin and Lucas had had earlier. We made up a lot of songs out of them and constantly improved them (and are still improving ;) ). Before that, Martin had left the band and after a short time without an electric bass Phil joined.
This was the formation we had our first gig with.
Since then, Simon left us and Lucas took the lead vocals. That was quite a big change for the band because it seemed like now we were all acting in concert, which was not the case before that. We came up with a bunch of new ideas, and we are creating lots of new music right now.
At November 2006 Tim joined at the Keyboards, giving Orange Mind a new musical dimension.
Our music can be described as a perfect fusion of rock, jazz and funk. But we are experimenting with lots of progressive and metal elements, too!
