Mike Hunter is known for playing melodic and euphoric Trance blended with driving beats. He is one of just a few DJ's who do live video-sets for the biggest and most-known electronic music internet-radio, Digitally Imported . He has between 5000 and 6000 listeners worldwide, every month and an ever growing fan-base. Mike also has a weekly show called One Day In Heaven on the US-based internet-radio AfterhoursDJs , on which he only plays live, as well. Additionally he does guest-sets for radio-stations all around the world and regularly deejays in clubs in Turkey, Sweden and the USA.
Mike Hunter started deejaying in 1996, first playing at small bars, like Baluga Bar and a short time later at clubs and bigger events, such as the famous 6 am Eternal. His style progressed from Techno and Acid, over UK Hard House / Nu NRG, to the Trance he plays today.
In 1994 Mike Hunter started to build his own studio and founded Strange Productions, a team of Rick Boelter, Rob Rosselli and Mike himself. They started several projects, such as Cromosome, 2nd Day After, Regular Vibes and had their first release in 1996 on the german Uptide Records label. The following years brought more releases on labels like half-German, half-Canadian Endzeit Records and on compilations like the well-known Acid Flash series. They also did live-performances at a variety of events.
In 1998 Strange Productions split up. Mike then had one of his temporarily last releases on Organic Records with a project called Candy Dope, which was produced in co operation with Helmut Ebritsch and Alex Reimann. After a long pause Mike Hunter is back in the studio now.
