Brian Deegan is the Metal Mulisha's Main Man. Deegan was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 5, 1975. He is 5ft 9in and weighs 175lbs. Brian's nickname is Bellevue. He now lives in Temecula, California and rides freestyle motocross for a living. It was Brian Deegan and Larry Linkogle who actually started the METAL MULISHA.
A few years ago Brian Deegan got tired of riding with all the posers who were trying to take over freestyle motocross so he started the Metal Mulisha. Deegan and his friends were outcast's in the freestyle moto x world because they want to have fun and do whatever they want and in the Metal Mulisha that's exactly what they do. They or do anything they want, anytime they want. They pretty much rule Freestyle Moto-X. Brian practices everyday and pushes himself to learn new tricks and excel in the world of freestyle moto-x. He started freestyle moto-x because he and a lot of other pro riders got tired of racing and wanted to get big air and do big tricks so they did. Now it is one the biggest sports in the X-games and it grows every year.
Brians sponsors are Metal Mulisha, Hansen's, Etnies, V2, SMP, and FMF. He has been competing since 1999 in the Freestyle Moto-Xevents. Brian says he started because of the "chicks". His biggest fear is PACE taking over freestyle and ruining it. Deegan's hero is Larry Linkogle. Brian's favorite trick is the "Mulisha Air". His motto is "Don't be a sellout!"
Deegan's career highlights are 1st LASX, LXD World FMX Champ, Gravity Games Gold Medalist, X-Games Gold Medalist.
These days Brian does a lot on the business end of moto-x. The Metal Mulisha now has thier own clothing line so the mulisha does a lot of advertising so they will make some money so they can pay for their expensive bikes and gear. In case you didnt know it cost's a lot of money for dirtbikes and they break them all the time. Sometimes he breaks them for fun because he can get a new one whenever he wants. Being a sponsored rider, Brian has it made. He gets new gear, bikes, and whatever else he wants and gets paid. Sometimes riders can get paid as much as $3 million dollars a year just for having fun and riding dirtbikes all the time. That is awesome!
Brian has also been in his share of riding videos. He's appeared in
almost every freestlyle moto-x video their is. He also has his own set
of videos with the metal mulisha.
Before the METAL MULISHA ever got really big Brian was writing it on his dirtbike with a magic marker. He said he never thought it would get this big, not even in his dreams. Brian says people dont get what the METAL MULISHA is all about, because it is about so much more than the name. He says its about riding, and friends, and not letting the posers take over the sport of freestyle moto-x because then it would not be as cool as it is now.

Brian will continue riding all the time until he is too old to handle it or until he dies doing it. Riding is his life and as long as he is getting paid to do it he will continue for a long time. Hopefully he will be able to take the sport to a new level and make it a lot better. He progresses everyday, and when he does better the other riders try to up him so it makes the sport crazier, and it rises to new levels.
In 2002 Brian Deegan competed in step-up, big air, and freestyle. He always competes in everything that has to do with freestyle motocross, so if he can't do one thing, then he can do another.
This is the music that Brian Deegan and the rest of metal mulisha listen to on a daily basis. Hope you enjoy.
