The Smoking Muskets were a 5 piece Alt.Country band from Sydney Australia drawing comparisons from the likes of WILCO, Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks and Neko Case.
The short lived quintet made quite a mark in their beloved hometown fast becoming a well recognized & respected act. Enough so, word started to catch on around the country & their indie popularity grew into a devoted national audience. A self-titled EP offering six tracks was the bands one & only release.
Late 2007 the band played their last show. This decision made to part ways was a collective decision & each member moved on to pursue other commitments. What has passed was a remarkable chapter. It will be treasured by the band as by each soul who had the privilege to witness & be a part of it.
