About Me

The Sunnyvale Scorpion Wrestling Club is a charter member of California USA Wrestling (Cal-USAW) and a member of the Santa Clara Valley Wrestling Association (SCVWA). We are based in Sunnyvale, California, USA. The purpose of our club is to promote / support amateur wrestling by teaching good sportsmanship and the basics of three wrestling styles; Freestyle, Greco-Roman (Olympic rules) and Folkstyle (school rules).

Our goals are to:
1) Help student / athletes accelerate their personal development and athletic skills to the next level of competitive wrestling or which ever sport they choose.

2) Facilitate a positive atmosphere and provide positive role models.

3) Provide memorable life experiences.

4) Instill camaraderie, and self pride.

5) Help reinforce community and civil responsibilities.

6) Teach that winning attitudes are not just about winning.

I'd like to meet:

This is a co-ed club and we are looking for boys and girls to wrestle, who are between the ages of 10 - 19 and at all skill levels. In addition to wrestlers, we are also looking for scorekeepers and associate team members - (boys / girls). NOTE: Depending upon the individuals parental involvement, we will be able to accept wrestlers as young as 5 years old. It would be mandatory for at least one parent of athletes younger than 10 years of age be present at all practices their children are.*this is a fee based program, email us for details
