About Me

My name is Sean Ashcraft. I study Music Technology at Ball State University. I began writing music in middle school. Recording music is more than a passion. I probably know more than someone who has little to no experience should. Oh well. That's why I'm going to school. I also enjoy mathy stuff, like physics and calculus. My backup career was Nuclear Engineering. I play guitar, both jazz and classical style. I'm not great yet. Still working on my modes and technique.
The genres that are below my name do not currently correlate with the music that is on my player. That is because most of the music that is on my player is either old or does not accurately describe the type of music that I like to write (or like to admit to write). So eventually when I finish recording some of my solo work I'll just have that and maybe some other oldies but goodies.
My presence on Myspace is really more of a technicality. I hardly update this sucker, so look forward to that. Although I do continue to blog for whatever reason. I like my web logs. They're fun to write, even though hardly anyone reads them. It's like a diary, I suppose.
I'm proud of my technologies, and you should be too. Visit my site. I moved all my in-depth info over there to tidy up this page. See the link in the other column. I dislike redundancy. But I love minimalism.

I posted some stuff. I got rid of most the non-serious stuff I had. I replaced it with non-effort-based songs. But they're the closest things to serious as I care to make at this point. Someday I'll c...

MIDI Keyboard=Guitar Rig Controller

Indeed. By using the far right black key in each group of 3 or 2 black keys, I have concocted a ridiculously huge pedal board from my MIDI keyboard controller that controls Guitar Rig on my computer. ...

New Old Songs and One New One

More songs on Myspace implies a lower bit rate for the MP3's which in turn makes music sound especially crappy. Quantity, not quality. This is the way. Anyways, I uploaded some of my old songs that I ...
